The Foreigner Who Keeps Coming Back
Travel has always been my escape from the rat race — and honestly, I enjoy the planning almost as much as being there. Researching destinations, mapping routes, figuring out the ferry connections and shuttle buses that make a trip actually work.
Macau fascinated me for years before I visited. The idea that you could stand in a square that looks like Lisbon, surrounded by 400 years of Portuguese colonial architecture, and look up at the skyline of one of the world's most spectacular casino strips — that kind of extreme contrast is rare. When I finally went, it exceeded every expectation.
The food alone is worth the trip — Macanese cuisine is one of the rarest in the world, and most visitors never discover it beyond the egg tarts. The UNESCO heritage zone is genuinely extraordinary and perpetually underexplored. And Coloane village on a quiet weekday morning is one of the most peaceful places I've found in Asia.
I'm not a travel blogger. I work in healthcare IT. But I've put the same obsessive research into this site that I apply to everything else — real prices, honest reviews, and the trip planner framework I wish had existed when I was planning my first visit.
It's the resource my friend and I talked about building 20 years ago. It just took this long to figure out how.
